WHo are we?

Pants Improv Comedy is an improv comedy troupe at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. The group started out as Pants But Not Quite back in 2013, but became Pants in the spring of 2018. The group performs original, full-length improv shows on campus throughout the semester. The entire show is based on audience suggestions, and the material presented on stage will never be performed again.
In addition to our flagship shows, we also perform at various events in conjunction with other Cornell comedy groups, attend improv conventions and festivals with other universities, and host events on campus to promote improvisation within the Cornell community.
As a group, Pants holds private practices three times a week to develop our improvisation skills. Our members develop skills in universal techniques such as listening, teamwork, and contributing that go into building a funny, successful scene. The material performed at each show and practice is never the same!
Want to become a member and do improv on stage with us?
We hold auditions every September, at the beginning of fall semester.
Auditions are a two-round process with the first round being open to everyone! No prior experience in improv, theater, or comedy is required. Our audition process is fun and stress-free! Auditions involve performing improv scenes with others as well as some solo performances.
