Pants Improv Comedy is an improv comedy troupe at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.  The group started out as Pants But Not Quite back in 2013, but became Pants in the spring of 2018.  The group performs original, full-length improv shows on campus throughout the semester. The entire show is based on audience suggestions, and the material presented on stage will never be performed again.

In addition to our flagship shows, we also perform at various events in conjunction with other comedy groups at Cornell, perform at comedy events at other universities, and help host events on campus to promote comedy and improvisation within the Cornell community.

As a group, Pants holds private practices three times a week where develop our skills in improvisation. Although the material that we perform at each show and at each practice is never the same, our members develop skills in universal techniques such as listening, teamwork, and contributing that go into building a funny, successful scene.

Want to become a member and do improv on stage with us?  We hold auditions every September.  Auditions are a two-round process with the first round being open to everyone!  No prior experience in improv, theater, or comedy is required. Our audition process is supposed to be fun and stress-free! Auditions involve performing improv scenes with others as well as some personal monologues (solo performances).  If you think you'd like to join us come by!
